Evwala (Pty) Ltd — Effective 1 May 2026

## 1. Who we are

Evwala (Pty) Ltd (“Evwala”, “we”, “us”) operates the
travel eSIM service accessible via WhatsApp and [evwala.ai](https://evwala.ai). We are the responsible party for personal data processed in connection with this service.

## 2. Data we collect

- **WhatsApp number** — provided when you message us; used to deliver your eSIM and
respond to support requests.
- **Device profile** — user-agent and eSIM compatibility derived from your browser
or WhatsApp session; used to recommend compatible bundles.
- **Payment data** — transaction reference and amount processed by our payment provider;
we do not store full card details.
- **Attribution data** — anonymised click source (UTM / ad platform token) if you arrive
via a tracked link; used to measure marketing effectiveness.
- **Analytics data** — pageview and CTA-click events via PostHog EU Cloud, with your
analytics consent.

## 3. How we use your data

- Provision of the eSIM service and delivery of your bundle.
- Customer support and issue resolution.
- Fraud prevention and service security.
- Anonymous marketing analytics (with consent).

## 4. Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of contract performance (service delivery), legitimate
interest (fraud prevention, service improvement), and consent (analytics cookies).

## 5. Data retention

Conversation and payment records are retained for up to 3 years for legal and support
purposes. Anonymous attribution data is purged after 30 days. Raw inbound messages are purged
after 90 days.

## 6. Your rights (DSAR)

Under applicable data-protection law you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of

## 7. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa and the Protection of
Personal Information Act (POPIA).
